Research related to juvenile sex offenders has continued to grow during the past twenty years, however, this area continues to be significantly limited. As a result, it is essential that both practitioners and researchers continue to contribute to this body of knowledge to ensure that an ample amount of scholarship is available to effectively inform practice.
Equally essential is that practitioners utilize existing research to remain knowledgeable of current issues and to ensure the timely promotion of empirically-based practices. To increase knowledge through research, three categories are included here:
1) Bibliographies produced through the CJSOM Initiative that allow practitioners to easily identify comprehensive research in a multitude of areas related to juvenile sex offenders,
2) Research Briefs that provide synopses of recent research related to juvenile sex offenders, and
3) A comprehensive list of Scholarly Journals dedicated to publishing research about juvenile sex offenders.
